Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Cookeville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Sealed bids are being accepted for the 2026 South Jefferson Utility Adjustment Project, which consists of adjusting approximately 38 manhole frame and covers and 36 valve boxes and lids. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's or bank check or Bid Guarantee Bond in an amount not less than five percent of the bid. Bids must also include an affidavit of a drug-free workplace. The successful bidder is required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price for each bond. All bidders must be licensed contractors qualified to perform the type of construction described, as required by Tennessee law. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids as deemed in the best interest of the City, with the possibility of readvertising the project if all bids are rejected. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Document shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered
