The scope of work is to provide supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, and materials to remove, demolish, and replace the existing roof on MLGW's North Service Center Building 5 located at 1060 Tupelo Street, Memphis, TN 38108. The work is to be performed in accordance with the NRCA Roofing and Waterproofing Manual and the manufacturer's instructions and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications. Instructions to bidders include: Bidders must obtain and submit a pre-qualification letter as a certified applicator of one of three approved Roofing Manufacturers (Siplast, Soprema, or Tremco) and a certificate from the manufacturer stating that the contractor can provide a 20-year manufacturer's warranty. Proof of at least five years of roofing and demolition experience is also required. All potential bidders must attend a mandatory site visit. During the solicitation, bidders must not contact any MLGW staff except those designated. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by state law. Sealed bids, bid bonds, bidder's qualifications, and completed bid envelope must be received by the deadline. Only hard copies of bid documents will be accepted. Additional requirements include submission of a performance bond, a contractor's labor and materials payment bond, and completion of all required information on the outside of the preprinted bid envelope. Bidders interested in local bidding preference must submit all required documentation. The bid must be held open for 120 days after opening.
