Sealed bids will be received from experienced and eligible contractors for the 2026 Playground Improvement Project at Haverhill, Aboite, and Covington Elementary Schools. The scope of work includes replacing portions of existing playgrounds at each facility, including equipment, surfacing, fencing, and various related site work. Elements of the project may include integration of specialty items procured through cooperative purchasing agencies. If the installation of such specialty items is included in the project scope, the awarded bidder must be a certified installer as required by the manufacturer's warranty for those items. All labor, material, and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications are to be included in the bid proposal. Plans, specifications, instructions to bidders, and bid forms are available for review and digital download on a non-refundable basis. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the bid. The successful bidder must provide Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount within ten (10) days after contract execution. Bids may not be modified or withdrawn for sixty (60) days after submission without consent. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities or defects in the bidding process.
