Each year, the City of Beaverton allocates funds for professional design services through the Building Improvement Program aimed at improving commercial properties and tenant businesses in Downtown Beaverton and on Allen Boulevard. Professional design services are needed to assist with the design of commercial storefront improvements. Qualified architects are being sought to perform architectural design and related professional services for design grant projects. These projects involve creating new designs for commercial storefronts and façades, including both exterior and interior areas, related to and supported by this program. Services are to be provided for projects funded by the Building Improvement Program, which supports commercial property and business owners needing assistance to improve their buildings. The City assigns city staff as Grant Managers to help facilitate the design process. The City will enter into Blanket Agreements with up to three proposers, under which designers will be engaged for specific Project Contracts on an as-needed basis, with a set fee per project for Design Grant projects. There is no guarantee of the amount of service to be obtained from any proposer. The Project Contract will specify the services, scope of work, fee, and payment terms for each assignment.
