A. Project Identification: The Project consists of the construction of Pool Renovation and Environmental Control System Improvements at the Juniata Valley YMCA. 1. Project Location: The site is located in Burnham, Pennsylvania. 2. Site Address: Juniata Valley YMCA, 105 1st Avenue, Burnham, PA 17009. 3. Construction Contracts shall be with: a. ("Owner" by contract language): Mifflin County Commissioners c/o Kristen Price, Grant Administrator, 20 North Wayne Street, Lewistown, PA 17044. 4. Owner Representative/Architect: EADS Architects, Inc. c/o Karli Heffner, 450 Aberdeen Drive, Somerset, PA 15501. B. Architect Identification: The Contract Documents, dated February 2026 were prepared by EADS Architects and its consultants as indicated on the Drawing Cover sheet. C. The Work consists of interior demolition and renovations that includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Selective demolition 2. New finishes 3. Environmental Control System Improvements, including replacement of existing indoor units and installation of new roof top unit. 4. New structural framing and supports for new roof top unit. The project consists of renovations to the pool ceiling at the Juniata Valley YMCA and improvements to the environmental control system. Pool ceiling renovations include cleaning, repairing, and refinishing the ceiling with acoustical spray insulation. The work will be divided into two contracts: General Construction and Mechanical Construction. All bidders must register for the bid by purchasing one copy of the project manual. Proposals must include a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Trust Company Treasurer's Check, or Certified Check made payable to Mifflin County in an amount of not less than ten percent of the bid proposal. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds and fully complete all work within 126 calendar days from the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed. Work is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, the Public Works Employment Verification Act, and the Steel Procurement Act. The owner reserves the right to reject any bids or waive any informalities in the bid process. The Agreement Form shall be AIA Document A101-2017 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor. Liquidated damages may be assessed for failure to complete work on time. Bidders must submit questions or requests for clarifications in writing by the specified deadline. The owner may reject the bid of any bidder not in a position to perform the contract.
