Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the renovation to existing life science labs at Brightpoint Community College, Chester and Midlothian Campuses, Project Code # 260-18721-008 (C25BC123) located in Chesterfield and Midlothian, Virginia. The scope of work includes renovating the Life Science Labs at Brightpoint Community College, consisting of three buildings: the Nicholas Center and Discovery Buildings at the Chester Campus and the Eliades Building at the Midlothian Campus. Eliades Building will have a new CNA Lab with flexibility to expand the program in the adjacent room. The Nicholas Center will now house the HVAC program with one room dedicated to the growing CNA program. Discovery building scope is limited to electrical equipment. The renovations are intended to remain open, flexible, and finishes are to be minimal for future expansion of both programs. Sealed bids will be received electronically through eVA or at Virginia Community College System, Attention: Mrs. Sibyl Roberts, 300 Arboretum Place, Suite 200, Richmond, Virginia 23236. For shipping/mailing, use Suite 390; for hand delivery, use Suite 200. The deadline for submitting bids is 3:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 3:00 P.M., on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the same location. In person hand delivery is supported on bid day at the stated location. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount. The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. Contractor shall process all Pay Applications/Invoices through the Owners web-based project management software, e-Builder. There is no fee to use e-Builder. Owner will provide support or training to the Contractor as necessary.
