Renovation of an educational facility in Roanoke, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 29,037-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Repair/Replace Humanities Elevator HVAC project at Virginia Western Community College, Project Code # 260-B5260-026 (M24VW201) located in Roanoke, Virginia. VWCC intends to install a new air conditioning system dedicated solely to the Humanities Hall Elevator Equipment Room. The project is generally described as the installation of a ductless mini split heat pump and associated electrical connections to serve the existing elevator equipment room. This project consists of coordination of construction of engineering items required for the new air conditioning system. These items include, but are not limited to, mechanical system demolition and improvements to the elevator room, electrical modifications to address the new equipment, and cutting, patching, and painting where finishes are distributed. No Work within the elevator shaft is proposed. Sealed bids will be received electronically through eVA or at Virginia Community College System, Attention: Mrs. Sibyl Roberts, 300 Arboretum Place, Suite 200, Richmond, Virginia 23236, Telephone (804) 819-4918. For shipping/mailing, use Suite 390; for hand delivery, use Suite 200. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer, on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount. eVA Vendor Registration: The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. Owner will provide support or training to the Contractor as necessary. All questions must be submitted in writing by April 1, 2026, by 5:00 PM. Refer to the Pre-Bid Question Form in the specifications. The final addendum will be issued April 2, 2026.
