Project No: 142630 Design-bid-build construction to install a predesigned mechanical system for dislodging debris from the Auxiliary Water Supply Backup (AWSB) intake trashracks at the East Fish Ladder of The Dalles Lock and Dam. The work provides a telescoping boom-mounted rotating bristle brush (trashrake) to clean intake screens without shutting down the AWSB system. The system includes mechanical equipment from a standard product line, mounted on the upstream forebay structure and accessed via a fixed platform transitioning to a traveling trolley platform. Structural work includes fabrication and installation of upper and lower operator/mechanic platforms anchored to the intake's concrete wall with post-installed epoxy anchors, along with ladders for access. Electrical scope includes providing power from MCC FCQ7 in the service gallery, routing power and data conduits around dam monoliths to the eastern embankment, crossing the access road via trenching, and mounting conduits to the upstream parapet wall to the intake. Controls will be vendor-supplied with operator-initiated cycles, with status and differential level alarms integrated into the existing SCADA PLC. Associated civil work includes pavement repair and trenching using standard ODOT details.
