Sealed bids are invited from qualified vendors for the rehabilitation of a culvert, including all related work. Bids must comply with the specified scope of work. The project is located on Reservoir Road, immediately adjacent to 1 Pine Island Lake Road, Westhampton. The Town of Westhampton reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The Westhampton Selectboard is the contracting authority. The Town seeks a vendor who will furnish, install, grout and provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to rehabilitate an existing culvert pipe by sliplining with high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The scope of work shall include all work necessary and relative thereto, including all site work, site preparation, culvert inspection, provision of all materials including pipe, connections, joints and other appurtenances, slip-liner grouting, endwall construction, all engineering specifications and inspections, and site cleanup and restoration. The Town wishes to rehabilitate an existing culvert by slip-lining the in-place metal culvert with a large diameter High Density Profile Wall Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The Scope of Work shall include all tasks associated with this goal, including site preparation, assessment of site conditions, dewatering, HDPE pipe installation, grouting, site cleanup, and site restoration. Awardee is expected to provide and furnish all materials, hardware, equipment, labor and any other resources necessary to complete the scope of work. The project goal is to restore the culvert and ensure its long-term durability and proper operation. The scope of work shall include all necessary work relative to this project goal, including site preparation; furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials; completion of all work, and site restoration to original or natural state. Work shall be completed with minimal to no disruption to pedestrian or vehicle traffic on Reservoir Road, and no disruption to residential neighbors. An anticipated scope of work is more fully detailed in Appendix A, and should be considered the minimum of work to be done.
