The Bedford Regional Water Authority seeks proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide selected engineering services and assistance under a term contract on an as needed basis. Services may include, but are not necessarily limited to: providing evaluations, recommendations, cost and time estimates, feasibility studies, preparation of schematic or preliminary designs, and preliminary engineering reports; providing survey, design, administration, and inspection services for construction projects; performing analyses and modeling of existing systems to assess impact of new facility construction; assuring construction contract documents are in conformance with generally accepted engineering practices and comply fully with all applicable codes and regulations; providing specifications which reflect current requirements, standards, and product availability; and attending and providing summary reports at regular Authority Board meetings, if requested. Proposals must contain a Standard Form (SF)-330 plus sufficient information to assist in evaluation according to the criteria listed in the RFP. Emphasis should be on completeness and clarity of content. The Authority may assign individual projects or tasks to the firm best suited for a specific project task based on qualifications, performance, resources, approach, ability to execute, innovation, and responsiveness. The Authority may engage in discussions and interviews and may award contracts to one or more firms. Proposals must be submitted either digitally through eVA Virginia’s Marketplace, by email, by mail, or delivered in person.
