Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The work generally involves the reconstruction of a portion of Runway 06-24 from Taxiway Bravo to Taxiway Charlie; the replacement of the Runway 06-24 edgelighting system, PAPI's and guidance signs; and new RTIL feeder. CSP pipe culverts north of Runway 12-30 are also proposed to be replaced. The work involves asphalt pavement removal, excavation, storm sewer and drainage works, supply and placement of granular subbase base hot mix asphalt pavement, trenching, directional drilling, airfield lighting, pavement line markings and restoration. Tenderers are advised that, in addition to price, Tenders will be evaluated by the Owner on the basis of noncost selection criteria (experience, key personnel resources and methodology) as outlined in the lnformation to Tenderers. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the tender amount and an Agreement to Bond must accompany each Tender. The successful Tenderer will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labour and Material Payment Bond upon execution of the Contract.
