Renovation of a mixed-use development in Royal Oak, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Royal Oak Middle School Pool Cooling Unit Partial Replacement. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the provided Buildingconnected.com link. No physical, in-person, email, or telephonic bids will be accepted. Each proposal must include a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the contractor and any Board of Education member or the Superintendent, as well as a sworn and notarized certification that the contractor is not an Iran Linked Business. Proposals not including these statements will not be accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive informalities or irregularities, or to award the contract to other than the lowest financial bidder at its sole discretion. Deadline for written Requests For Clarifications: 4:00 pm local time, March 19, 2026 Requests For Clarification and inquiries must be made via e-mail. All Requests For Clarification must be directed to Mark Paulus at mark.paulus@royaloakschools.org. (Subject Line: Royal Oak Middle School Pool Cooling Unit Partial Replacement RFP Request For Clarification). SCOPE OF WORK All items listed in the documents with the following clarifications: BASE BID #1: 1. Dectron unit cooling side circuit #1 and #2 2. Replace all valves and solenoids. 3. Recover existing refrigerant charge. 4. Replace all refrigerant with new. 5. Bidder shall include in their bid an allowance of $10,000 for each building to be used at the discretion of District. The allowance shall include only direct costs. All other costs, such as overhead, profit, bond, or other items shall be included in base bid. BASE BID #2: 1. Dectron unit cooling side circuit #1 and #2. 2. Replace entire cooling coil. 3. Recover existing refrigerant charge. 4. Replace all refrigerant with new. 5. Bidder shall include in their bid an allowance of $10,000 for each building to be used at the discretion of District. The allowance shall include only direct costs. All other costs, such as overhead, profit, bond, or other items shall be included in base bid.
