The work includes all supervision, labor, material, equipment, tools, supplies, removal, restoration, and incidentals required to complete ADA accessibility and concrete repairs at NJ TRANSIT's Metropark, New Brunswick, and Trenton Stations. All work must conform to the specifications provided in the Bid Documents. Bidders must register with the electronic bidding platform BID EXPRESS to obtain the Bid Documents. Bidders must be prequalified for BR- Building Construction Rail (Operating Railroad Environment as GC General Contractor) for an amount of work equal to or greater than their bid amount, with a suggested minimum rating of "I" ($1,000,001 to $2,000,000). Prequalification forms must be submitted as per the instructions, and late submissions will not be considered. Bidders must bring and wear safety apparatus including hard hats, reflective vests, and hard-toed shoes/boots for site visits. Unauthorized/unescorted entry onto the railroad right-of-way is strictly prohibited. Bidders must upload bids prior to the specified time. A bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the bid price is required. Bidders are required to comply with all relevant state statutes and regulations regarding Small Business Enterprises (SBEs)/Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (DVOBs), with a Ten Percent (10%) Category 2 SBE/DVOB Goal assigned to this project, and other non-discrimination requirements as listed in the statutes and codes. Sitewalkthrough notes: Bidders must bring and wear their own safety apparatus including hard hats, reflective vests and hard toed shoes/boots to go on the site visit. Unauthorized/unescorted entry onto the railroad right-of-way is strictly prohibited. Bidders are advised that attendance at both the pre-bid conference and site visit is strongly recommended but not required.
