Bids are requested for HVAC replacement at Project AL 09PO56006 # 1 for the Haleyville Housing Authority, located at 2601 Newburg Rd, Haleyville, Alabama. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with specific labeling, using forms provided by the architect, and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract. The contract is a lump sum Prime Contract for General Construction. Bidders must hold a "commercial contractor" license, and all bid envelopes must list the contractor's certificate of responsibility number on the outside. Bids must comply with equal employment opportunity provisions and minimum wage requirements. No bid may be withdrawn within 45 days of opening, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities and informalities. Repair all areasof the site damaged during construction including but not limited to ruts , concrete , etc ..... Building Interior /Exterior : Demo /remove existing hvac system including but not limited to furnace , condenser, grilles ,refrigerant lines, condensatelines (asrequired ), combustion air ,etc... Existing duct plenum in hall ceiling to be abandoned in place. Demo/remove all existing sidewall supply grilles at walls/plenum. Where existing sidewall supply grilles at walls areremoved,patchhole with gypsum wall board (match existing thickness ). Finish to match adjacent surface and paint entire wall from corner to corner, floor to ceiling . Typical at all grilles . Install new completehvac equipment including but not limited to air handler, cooling coil , condenser , ductwork , line sets, grilles , etc. Paint all interior surfaces of the mechanical closet (gysum board , plywood and wood ) with mold resistant paint .
