The scope of services consists of the removal of sludge cake from the City of Greenfield's Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located at 384R Deerfield Street, Greenfield, MA and transporting it to a legal disposal facility. The facility ships approximately 156 wet tons per month at 20% solids or higher (1,880 wet tons per year), but the actual amount may vary from 140 to 210 wet tons per month depending on the season. The contract duration is for fifteen months, from April 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, for an estimated total of 2,340 wet tons. Bids must be sealed and submitted by the specified deadline. A 100% Performance Bond is required of the successful bidder. Requested pre-bid site visits can be scheduled at the WPCP. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be awarded the contract, subject to funding availability. The City reserves the right to waive informality and reject any or all proposals, or to accept the most satisfactory proposal in the public interest.
