Sealed proposals are requested for the Walnut Elementary Education Center Modular Expansion and Site Work under a Lease-Leaseback Contract. Proposals must comply with the Request for Sealed Proposals, drawings, specifications, and other contract documents provided by the Architect. The District reserves the right to add or deduct alternate items after determining the lowest responsive and responsible lump sum proposal. Contractors must attend a mandatory pre-proposal conference and site visit to be eligible to submit proposals. The contract is subject to prequalification, and all proposing contractors must be currently registered and qualified under relevant California Labor Codes. The successful contractor must furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each for 100% of the contract sum, and may substitute securities for retainage. Contractors must hold a valid Class 'B' license during the entirety of the project and comply with prevailing wage and skilled workforce requirements. Proposals from unlicensed contractors will not be considered. The District plans to construct the Work, which is a modular expansion and site work for five modular buildings, on a District-owned site located at 4219 North Walnut, in Turlock, Stanislaus County, California, and the District is soliciting proposals for the construction ofthe Work The District has retained SKW & Associates of Modesto, California, as its architect for the Project ("Architect"). DSA approval of the Architect's plans and specifications for the Contract has not yet been issued but will be obtained before or after the award of the Lease Leaseback Agreement. Work may not commence until DSA approval is received by the District. The plans and specifications may be obtained from SKW & Associates. Any question or suggestion must be submitted by a proposing Contractor by March 23, 2026. The Owner may only respond to a question or suggestion by issuing a written addendum by March 25, 2026. If the Owner does not timely respond to a question or suggestion, then the question or suggestion shall be deemed as having been rejected by the Owner.
