Scope includes providing on-call electrical services for maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and electrical system upgrades at various K-12 school facilities throughout the district. Sealed bids will be received electronically via the PennBid website. Bidders are required to submit a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price. The successful bidder may be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount of 100% of the contract amount within ten calendar days of written notice of acceptance. There is no physical public bid opening; bids will be revealed via the PennBid website. The successful bidder will be required to pay a PennBid fee of 0.0033% (one-third of one percent) up to $6,000 of the contract award value. Questions must be submitted through the PennBid website by the deadline. Bidders are not permitted to contact the District Engineer or staff directly. The District reserves the right to reject any and all RFPs, waive any technicalities, and consider the competency and responsibility of the bidder before awarding the contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days after the date of opening. The contract documents contain all pertinent regulations, and the District reserves the right to accept or reject any portion of any bid, and to award contracts as deemed best for the District.
