The City of Lawrence, Kansas is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services associated with the Kaw Water Treatment Plant Pipe Gallery Replacement. The consultant will be responsible for evaluating the existing conditions of piping, wall penetrations, supports, and surrounding concrete; making recommendations for replacement or rehabilitation; designing construction documents; and providing bidding and construction phase services. The work includes evaluation and recommendations for replacement or rehabilitation of pipe, valves, fittings, support structures, flow meters, and other appurtenances, as well as structural evaluation of concrete and repair alternatives for several areas within the Kaw Water Treatment Plant, including but not limited to the two lower levels below the pump and pipe gallery basement level and the pipe gallery room west of the maintenance breakroom.
