Sheldrake River Drainage Improvements at Pinebrook Boulevard, Tulip Lane, and Dennis Drive. All vendors are encouraged to submit sealed bids via mail to the Purchasing Department, with bid envelopes plainly marked with project details and only including sheets identified with the Return with Bid watermark. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order payable to the City of New Rochelle, New York, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Copies of contract documents are available for direct download from the Citys website at http://www.newrochelleny.gov/bids.aspx. It is the bidders responsibility to check for addendums. Firms qualified and certified as Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) are strongly encouraged to submit a bid. Contractors shall pay the higher wage rates of either the prevailing New York State Wage Rates or Davis Bacon. Schedule of work and phase of sites to be presented to City and Engineer for approval. 2. Description of work itemized below is subject to the above schedule and which site area is performed first. 3. Install and maintain throughout construction the temporary erosion and sediment control measures. 4. Execute test pits. 5. Demolish and remove structures, pipes, culverts, wingwalls, curbs, asphalt pavement, and retaining walls as outlined on the Contract Documents. 6. Excavate and install concrete culverts, concrete wingwalls, concrete retaining walls, concrete footings, concrete curbs, concrete headwalls, masonry stone veneer parapets, and armor stone rip-rap. 7. Install all drainage structures and pipes and connect to new wingwalls and retaining walls. 8. Install all curbs, guiderails, and restore pre construction conditions. 9. Topsoil and seed all disturbed areas. 10. Repair and restoration of Work damaged during construction cleaning, Maintaining and Restoration of the site as shown and called for within the contract documents. 11.
