BASE BID: Construction of new Water Treatment Building and Facilities including Detention Tank, Aerator, Hydro-Pneumatic Pressure Tank, Filter Backwash Tank and VFD Pump Skid, High Service Pump Skid, Chemical Feed Systems, EPS & Integration for Hydro-Pneumatic Tank and Filter Backwash Systems, Motor Control Center, Emergency Stand-by Generator, Automatic Transfer Switch, HVAC Equipment, all controls, all electrical and plumbing, all plant piping and appurtenances, 4" & 6" PVC Water Main yard piping, 4" Gate Valve with Box, 2" Blow-off Hydrant Assemblies with backflow prevention and 2" auxiliary valves, Fill Hydrant Assembly with Backflow Prevention and other miscellaneous and incidental items listed in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The contractor shall keep existing treatment plant in operation until the new plant is started up and operational. ALTERNATE ADD-ON BID No. 1: Additional cost of above floor plumbing & fixtures, including shower, HVAC, Electrical, Doors & Hardware, finish painting of Office and Bathroom areas. ALTERNATE ADD-ON BID No. 2: Dismantling, salvaging and relocating existing vertical pressure filters, piping, valves, fittings, appurtenances and controls from existing watertreatment building to new treatment plant building and re-installing filters, piping, valves, fittings, appurtenances and controls in the new treatment building. Item Includes disposal of old filter media and replacement with new media as specified herein, once filters are relocated and connected to the system. The Contractor shall move one filter at a time to keep the existing treatment system in operation.
