The scope of work generally includes the construction of a new security vestibule and modifications to the existing building at Whippany Park High School, including all other associated work as shown on the drawings and specified herein. Any questions which a bidder may have shall be brought to the attention of the Architect via email at lscheideler@fkarch.com No oral interpretations will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the drawings and specifications. Every requestforsuch an interpretation shall be made in writing and addressed and forwarded to the Architects office. No inquiry received later than 4:30 p.m. ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids will be given consideration. All necessary bid specifications and forms must be secured by completing the online bid request form. Bidders must use and complete all bid forms and comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, not exceeding $20,000.00. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of New Jersey's "Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action statutes. All bidders and subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and provide the appropriate certificates. All bids must also include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate for both the bidder and all subcontractors. No bidder on debarred, suspended, or disqualified lists is eligible. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with the project name. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days from the opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informality if in the best interest of the Board. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets all material requirements.
