Site work for a civil project in McAllen, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of approximately 1,400 LF of new 15" pipe and 500 LF of slotted drains along with 2,100 LF of curb/gutter, and associated driveway and concrete valley gutters restoration. All bid responses are to be submitted electronically only through the City of McAllen's bidding portal. Original, hard copy and/or late bids shall not be accepted. To view the solicitation, access plans and specifications, and submit a bid response, bidders must first register in the City's bidding portal. Solicitation documents will not be mailed, e-mailed, or provided in person. Once registered, bidders will be added to the solicitation distribution list for changes and/or additions via Addenda form. Potential bidders are asked to post their questions on the bidding portal under the tab labeled "Clarifications" under the relative project number. A Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, or a certified Cashier's Check, payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted via a sealed envelope as a guaranty that if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of McAllen. The bid security must be submitted before the electronic bid opening date and time. Failure to submit the bid security shall be grounds for disqualification. The original bid security shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked as: BID SECURITY FOR PROJECT NO. 04-26-C22-655 LINDBERG AVENUE & 6TH ST. DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the Bid considered the best value to the City, and to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days without taking action.
