The project consists of the following major items: installation of approximately 9,785 LF of 6-inch DIP water main; installation of approximately 1,655 LF of 8-inch DIP water main; installation of approximately 1,920 LF of 12-inch DIP water main; installation of approximately 7,740 LF of 8-inch PVC sewer main; installation of approximately 30 LF of 12-inch PVC sewer main; installation of approximately 9,520 LF of 8-inch CIPP liner; manhole installation, rehabilitation, and replacement; and asphalt road repair. Bidders must obtain bidding documents by registering with the Engineer's office. All requests for bidding documents must include the company name, contact person, street address, phone number, email address, North Carolina contractor's license with limitation and classification, and indicate if the firm will be a Prime bidder, Supplier, or Sub-Contractor. Bidders are required to show evidence of being licensed as required by North Carolina law. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. The City of Raleigh encourages participation by certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses and requires that the prime contractor identify MWBE participation in the bid and how that participation will be achieved. The City's goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on applicable projects.
