Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chalmers, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of paving various streets throughout the town. The work may include milling, cleaning, tack coat, and application of surface and binder courses throughout the town. The proposal to be submitted must include sufficient and proper sums for all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and other items incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and must be on the printed Proposal Form included in the project manual. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bond for five percent (5%) of the bid amount, as a guarantee for the execution of the contract. The contractor awarded the work must furnish, before starting, performance, maintenance, and payment bonds equal to the awarded contract price, as well as certificates of all required insurance. All bonds and liability insurance are to remain in effect for twelve months after the completion and acceptance of construction. The award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder.
