The work consists of all necessary materials, labor and equipment for complete installation and operational commissioning of stormwater and sidewalk improvements at various locations at Johns Park in downtown Ashland City, TN. Each bidder must be appropriately licensed as a Contractor in the State of Tennessee under T.C.A. 62-6-101. The bidders name, license number, expiration date, and applicable part of the contracting classification must appear on the sealed envelope containing the bid; otherwise, the bid will not be opened. For contractors with five or more employees, bids must include an affidavit stating compliance with The Tennessee Drug Free Workplace Act and other required city forms and affidavits. Digital copies of bid documents can be obtained from CSR Engineering for a fee, and only those on the official bidders list will have bids received and read. Bid bonds and deposits are not required. The successful bidder must provide separate 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, with the performance bond effective for one year after final project acceptance. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, and are encouraged to use small and minority-owned businesses. The Town of Ashland City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and may request additional information regarding contractor experience before awarding the project.
