Separate and single prime contract sealed bids are requested for Pedestrian Footbridge Reconstruction and P/A System Replacement at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School. Bids must be received by the specified time and place and must include the contract name, contract number, and opening date on the envelope. No bids will be accepted by phone, fax, or email. Complete digital sets of contract documents are available online for a non-refundable fee. Hard copies can be obtained for a deposit, which is refundable upon return of the documents in good condition. Addenda will be sent to registered plan holders by email and are also available online. Bidders requesting shipped documents must handle payments and arrangements with the printer. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk-through is scheduled at the project location. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with the School District reserving the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject proposals, or advertise for new proposals if deemed in its best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days following the opening, except as allowed by law. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. If construction activity restrictions are imposed by government orders or regulations, the Owner may modify the schedule without additional compensation, and the bidder's sole remedy will be an extension of time as determined by the Owner.
