Bids are invited for the following items and quantities of work: 1. 10' x 4' Concrete Box Culvert (1,100 LF); 2. 8' x 3' Concrete Box Culvert (1,000 LF); 3. Storm Sewer Pipe (300 LF), Inlets & Junction Boxes; 4. Waterline Relocation (800 LF); 5. Asphalt Pavement (3,600 SY), Concrete Pavement (2,800 SY) & Curb & Gutter; 6. Guardrail; 7. Re-vegetation. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at BEFCO Engineering, Inc. Printed copies may be purchased for $100.00 per set; electronic copies are available at no charge by request. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety must be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Smithville or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rates. The successful bidder must ensure non-discriminatory practices regarding race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Smithville Section 3 Policy is required. All contractors/subcontractors must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). An Active SAM Registration is required. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.
