Site work for a civil project in Gate City, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves the Hiltons Sewer Extension Project - Phase 3 - Contracts 1, 2 & 3. Contract 1 includes the construction of approximately 10,007 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sewer line, 1,043 linear feet of 6-inch diameter sewer line, 1,572 linear feet of 4-inch diameter sewer line, 55 manholes, 46 sewer connections, 325 linear feet of 16-inch steel casing, 75 linear feet of 12-inch steel casing, 190 linear feet of 8-inch steel casing, 95 linear feet of concrete encasement, paving, and installation of associated appurtenances. Contract 2 includes the base bid construction of a pump station, wetwell, generator, yard hydrant, 554 linear feet of 4-inch forcemain, associated appurtenances and controls, access entrance, and fencing. Bids will be received for a single prime contract for each individual contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Documents may be examined and obtained from the Issuing Office or electronically from QuestCDN for a nonrefundable fee. Printed copies are available from the Issuing Office for a set fee per contract and a possible shipping charge. Partial sets are not available. Bidders are responsible for obtaining documents from the correct sources. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with federal and state requirements, including non-discrimination, utilization of MBE/WBE firms, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Davis-Bacon Act, and requirements regarding American Iron and Steel. Bidders must certify non-segregation of employee facilities. All iron and steel products used in the project must be produced in the United States as specified.
