Site work for a water / sewer project in Shannon, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Proposals are requested from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for work related to a sewer infrastructure project with potential funding from HUD Community Development Block Grant, Appalachian Regional Commission, State Revolving Loan Fund, and/or other state and federal funding agencies. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: preparation of a preliminary cost estimate and preliminary engineering report; if a grant is awarded, preparation of plans and specifications; distribution of bid documents; assistance in bid opening and preparation of bid tabulation; assistance in execution of construction contracts; holding preconstruction conference; performing construction inspection including periodic reports to the Town of Shannon; and approval of all payment requests. The engineer will be responsible for performing all engineering services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. Instructions: Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with “Proposal for Engineering Services.” Proposals will be evaluated on qualifications, experience, and capacity for performance, to be addressed in detail: list of qualifications of persons assigned to the project; information on the firm's experience and previous project undertakings, including grant types and project status; and details on the staff assigned to provide services, with their number and titles. The Town has the right to reject any or all proposals.
