Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hoover, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bid proposals will be received from licensed General Contractors for the Gwin Elementary Gymnasium Renovation. Bids must include the General Contractor's License Number and Type on the outside of the bid envelope. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Hoover City Schools in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance, as required in the bid documents, will be required at contract signing. Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. Only those licensed under the provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and showing evidence of license before bidding, will be considered. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors if deemed in the owner's best interest. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for sixty days.
