The work consists of constructing a 10-foot wide shared use pathway along the south side of Cannonsburg Road from Chauncey Drive to Pettis Avenue. The scope includes approximately one mile of hot mix asphalt (HMA) pathway, 1,050 feet of boardwalk, 3,245 square feet of modular block retaining wall, all necessary appurtenances, and site restoration. Bidders must comply with Davis-Bacon Act requirements and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Contractors and all subcontractors must use a prevailing wage and labor compliance system for all required documentation. Minimum salaries and wages as determined by federal wage decisions must be paid for this project. A project sign must be installed and maintained at the site to inform the public and post required notices. Bidders are encouraged to maximize participation by small, minority, and women's business enterprises by establishing appropriate delivery schedules and dividing the total requirements into smaller tasks or quantities. Contractors must maintain an active Unique Entity ID (UEID) with the Federal System for Award Management (SAM) registry throughout the project and provide proof of registration within seven days of award. Bids exceeding $500,000 require a Bid Bond for 5% of the total offer. For contracts over $50,000, a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract price, are required. All work must include a one-year warranty.
