Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Watertown, South Dakota. Completed plans call civil work for a runway / taxiway.

Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials as specified and performing all incidental work for Taxiway A Reconstruction at Watertown Regional Airport. The base bid includes mobilization, contractor quality control plan, construction safety phasing plan, removal of concrete and asphalt pavement, unclassified excavation, disposal of excess material, furnishing and recycling subbase course, installation of geotextile separator fabric and geogrid, placement of crushed aggregate base course, asphalt base and surface course, binder, prime and tack coats, route and seal joint, pavement marking, underdrain pipe and cleanouts, connection to RCP, seeding and fertilizing, topsoil removal and furnishing, mulching, storm water pollution prevention, silt fence, culvert/inlet protection, temporary phasing work, electrical work including trenching, conduit, cable, lighting, sign removal, and installation of new taxiway lights and signs, and other related construction items. Alternate Bid No. 1 includes a similar scope of removal, excavation, installation, marking, drainage, seeding, mulching, pollution prevention, adjustment of edge light base cans, and related construction items for an additional project area. Instructions to bidders include requirements to obtain plans and specifications, submission of a bid guarantee (certified check or bid bond), providing contract bonds for full contract amount, commencing and completing work as set by the engineer, compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, federal labor laws, maintenance of an affirmative action program for contracts and subcontracts over $10,000, certification of compliance with federal regulations regarding debarment, foreign trade restrictions, Buy American certifications, and steel/manufactured products requirements. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informality. Contractors must not have unpaid federal tax liability or recent criminal convictions under federal law.
