The Town of Manchester seeks the services of a qualified Professional Land Surveyor, licensed in the State of Connecticut, to perform a topographic field survey and base map in AutoCAD format for an approximately 1.7 mile long (9,000 feet) section of Bush Hill Road between Hillstown Road and Keeney Street. The Land Surveyor will provide base mapping depicting existing conditions, both planimetric and topographic, within the project limits for use in proposed design. The topographic survey will extend approximately 100 feet on each side of the existing Bush Hill Road centerline. The limits for this survey include 100 feet on each side of the Bush Hill Road centerline; additional 100 feet along each intersecting public street from Bush Hill Road, Hillstown Road at its intersection with Bush Hill Road (with specified extensions), and Keeney Street at its intersection with Bush Hill Road (with specified extensions). All work must be performed by or under the immediate supervision of a Land Surveyor licensed in Connecticut and based on the Town of Manchester's Control Network for horizontal and vertical control. The consultant will perform necessary research at Town offices for right-of-way and property owner identification, map all public utilities within project limits, and prepare surveys to required standards. Field location of all topographic features, property corners, right-of-way markers, wetland delineations, and buildings within project limits is required, with deliverables including electronic AutoCAD files and reproducible mylars signed and sealed by the surveyor. Traffic control during field work is the responsibility of the Consultant Surveyor. Proposals are to be submitted electronically through the Town of Manchester's OpenGov Procurement Portal according to specified submission procedures and requirements. Bidders must meet credential and documentation requirements, including proof of licensure, related project experience, and insurance coverage as detailed in the instructions to bidders and insurance requirements sections. The project is subject to the Town's Living Wage Ordinance if the contract value meets the threshold.
