Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,000-square-foot detention facility; 7,000-square-foot detention facility; 21,600-square-foot detention facility; detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
Colliers are seeking a highly experienced Architectural Prime Consultant to join their collaborative team to complete an urgent and accelerated project requiring immediate attention. The consultant and partnered engineers will work with the team, the future Construction Manager, and vendors to deliver design packages, overall project oversight, and contract administration. The project consists of the design and construction of a new 21,600 sqft Tensile Membrane Structure (TMS), a 7,000 sqft exterior covered yard area, and a 10 x 300 link tunnel connection from the jail proper to the new TMS. It also includes minor interior upgrades to ancillary spaces such as videoing capabilities within the lobby and minor expansions to the existing kitchen, dry goods storage, and admit discharge area to accommodate the increased capacity. Design and Construction activities are required to overlap, proceeding with a construction manager approach to deliver the project via multiple construction packages completed at coordinated times.
