As of May 07, 2026 project was awarded to Parisi Construction Co., awarded amount is $1,858,521.75 Reconstruction of Main Street, from Columbus Street to Market Street; reconstruction of King Street, from Main Street to a point approximately 150-LF south of Main Street; and reconstruction of the mid-block alleyway off the south side of Main St, from Main Street to Cannery Square. The demolition work under this contract shall include, but is not limited to, removal of roadway and terrace area pavements and existing features within the site, demolition of storm sewer, salvaging and re-grading of roadway base and abandonment of an underground vault adjacent to 121 E Main Street. Portions of the concrete on Main Street are planned to be salvaged and protected during the work. Proposed road work includes, but is not limited to, realignment of concrete curb & gutter, proposed concrete roadway pavement, proposed asphalt roadway pavement, storm sewer, relocation of a traffic signal at Main St and Market St, salvaging of roadway signage and pavement markings. Streetscaping elements include, but are not limited to, terrace pavers placed on concrete, concrete sidewalk, vertical planter and seat walls, handrails and guardrails, specialty and pre-manufactured furnishings and features, footings, miscellaneous concrete pavements, and landscaping installation including plants, subterranean soil cells, mulches and miscellaneous landscape accessory materials. Project work also includes associated traffic control and a local and primary detours. The successful bidder shall be required to conform to all Federal and State OSHA requirements as well as to the extent necessary to comply with all Davis-Bacon and or Wisconsin Prevailing Wage laws. The City of Sun Prairie reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. Bids may be held by the City of Sun Prairie for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the bid opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer.
