The City of Palm Desert is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide comprehensive janitorial services for multiple City-owned facilities to establish a three-year Maintenance Services Agreement with an option to extend for two additional one-year periods. Services include cleaning, maintaining, and keeping sanitary a range of areas such as office areas, conference rooms, restrooms, locker/shower facilities, break rooms, kitchens, lobbies, public spaces, janitorial storage areas, trash and recycling enclosures, and specified exterior common areas. Duties are required on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules as outlined in Exhibit A. Facilities covered include City Hall, community centers, corporation yards, a state building, resource centers, a sheriff substation, library, and aquatic center. An alternate bid is also requested for daily cleaning of park restrooms and semi-annual cleaning of three park concession stands. Contractors must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials; comply with all applicable laws and regulations; maintain required permits and licenses; and assume responsibility for the use of cleaning chemicals.
