**As of April 30, 2026, the project was awarded to Pace Construction, with an awarded amount of $1,895,270.75.** Cape Girardeau County, Missouri is seeking sealed bids for Plant Mix Bituminous Paving for the County Highway Department. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "Highway Department - Plant Mix Bituminous Paving 2026" and received at the Office of County Clerk, 1908 Courthouse, 100 Court Street, Suite 301, Jackson, MO 63755, by the specified deadline. Bids received after the specified date and time will not be considered. Fax or email bids will not be accepted. The bid proposal includes an optional Asphalt Cement Price Index Adjustment, and bidders must indicate on the bid form whether they accept or decline this adjustment. Flaggers are required. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage set by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of Missouri must be paid to all workers. The county will ensure that minority firms, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms have full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises must have the opportunity to participate in performing this contract or subcontracts. The county reserves the right to select and award the bid to the bidder(s) whose offer is deemed in the best interest of the county; accept or reject any or all bids; and waive informalities or irregularities. Copies of the bid documents may be obtained from the Office of County Commission.
