The work consists of the construction of drainage infrastructure to protect a public street, including clearing and grubbing, earthwork, replacement of storm sewer, riprap, and grassing. The scope of work is more thoroughly prepared in the contract drawings. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The contract time for this project is 30 calendar days. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited with the City Clerk at 124 S. Pearl St., Natchez, Mississippi 39120 prior to the designated time. A bid bond security/guarantee in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required for contracts exceeding $25,000, and a 100% performance and payment bond is required. Licensing and other certifications of qualifications will be required as specified. The relevant certificate number must be indicated on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope where applicable. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the bid opening without the consent of the City of Natchez. Bids will only be accepted under the name of the bidder to whom the contract documents and addenda have been issued by the engineer. State law requires non-resident bidders to include a copy of their home state's law regarding treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid; failure to include this will result in rejection of the bid.
