Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only. Official sets must be obtained from McKee and Associates to bid. The project is for new acoustical ceiling and lighting improvements at Lineville Elementary School for the Clay County Board of Education in Ashland, Alabama. All bidders are required to visit the site and examine existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. General liability and workman's compensation insurance are required, and the project shall be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted using forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Clay County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, but no more than $10,000, must accompany the sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required upon signing of the contract. Bidders exceeding state licensing limits must be licensed under the relevant Alabama code and display their license number on the outside of the envelope. Project documents are available online through the Architect's website. All RFIs and RFAs regarding bid documents must be submitted by email using forms in the project manual. Work is to start May 27th and be completed by August 2nd. The contractor must ensure proper supervision of all work. All RFIs and RFAs regarding the bid documents shall be sent and addressed through emails found on the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual. NOTE: ONLY THE RFI AND RFA FORMS IN THE PROJECT MANUAL WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Architect will not accept inquiries via telephone or fax.
