The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB) process is to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor ("Vendor") to repair and replace well 1 roof. Replacement of existing shingle roof with new metal roofing . Location: Well #1 / 1311 West 3300 South This bid covers the complete removal of the existing asphalt shingle roof and installation of a new metal roofing system at the designated well site. The structure is a single-story building with an approximate roof area of 1,200 square feet. The layout is simple and includes only a few roof penetrations (e.g., ventilation stacks). Included Work: 1. Mobilization & Site Preparation o Deliver equipment, materials, and safety gear. o Protect surrounding equipment and work areas. 2. Removal of Existing Roof o Strip and dispose of existing asphalt shingles. o Remove underlayment as needed. o Inspect decking for damage; notify owner of any repairs required (repairs not included unless specified). 3. Installation of New Metal Roofing o Install synthetic underlayment suitable for metal roofing. o Install 26- or 24-gauge metal roofing panels (owner to select color and profile). o Install all required trim, flashing, and edging. o Seal and flash all penetrations, including existing vents. 4. Vents & Penetrations o Properly flash around the existing vents. o Replace damaged vent boots as needed. 5. Cleanup & Disposal o Remove all job-related debris from site. o Final walk-through and inspection. Work is estimated to take 6-7 working days from mobilization, weather permitting.
