Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Algona, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

Rehabilitate Runway 13/31 at Algona Municipal Airport, Algona, Iowa. The work consists of PCC patching, joint sealing, and crack sealing. Work under the Base Bid must be completed within twenty (20) working days. Alternate Bid A and Alternate Bid B must each be completed within five (5) working days. Phase 2 work, including the intersection of two runways and a portion of the apron where the fueling system is located (requiring airport closure), must be completed concurrently with Phase 1, within single or multiple day closures totaling no more than eight (8) calendar days. Closure restricting access to the fuel system is limited to five (5) calendar days. The contractor must provide a minimum of 3 days' notice for airport or fuel system closure for issuance of a NOTAM. Contractors may request a single night closure for remarking pavement, not to be counted against allowed contract working days, with a minimum of 5 days' notice for a NOTAM. FAA 3-19-0002-022-2026 (AIP) Question Deadline 03/30/2026 A bidder that has doubt as to the true meaning of a project requirement may submit to the Owner's Engineer a written request Each bidder must provide bid security amounting to 5% of the total bid, and the successful bidder must execute the contract and furnish acceptable performance and payment bonds and insurance within ten (10) days of bid acceptance. Preference is given to products, provisions, and labor from Iowa, as provided by law. The bidder must not include sales tax in the bid. Contract award is contingent upon receiving federal funding. The award will be based on the lowest aggregate sum proposal from responsive and responsible bidders. The project is subject to federal requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity, goals for minority (0.4%) and female (6.9%) participation, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise provisions (0.00% DBE goal), Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements, debarment and foreign trade restrictions, and Buy American preferences. Bidders must complete and submit the Buy American certification with their proposal and make good faith efforts to meet DBE goals.
