Work is described in general but is not limited to the removal and replacement of ten (10) existing light poles, including associated luminaires and concrete foundations, with new LED light poles mounted on new reinforced concrete bases. Work shall include furnishing and installing new junction boxes, connecting and splicing to the existing electrical wiring, providing all necessary traffic control, and performing all incidental work and surface restoration required to place the lighting system into full and proper operation. An Add Alternate is included for the replacement of approximately one thousand two hundred (1,200) linear feet of circuit wiring utilizing the existing conduit system, including connection to the existing electrical panel and controller and repair or replacement of any damaged conduit sections as necessary to provide a complete and operable system. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a firm-fixed-price basis. Qualifications of the Bidder will be reviewed before the award of the Contract. Bids may be held by the City for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts. Bids will only be received from bidders who obtain bidding documents from the City's Issuing Office and are on the plan holder's list.
