Site work for a water / sewer project in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of performing maintenance and improvement measures at the Manatee Harbor Dredged Material Management Area, including construction of a new set of weirs at the northeast corner of the DMMA and maintenance of the east and south segments of the existing perimeter ditch. The new weirs include two concrete box weir structures with shallow concrete foundations, high-density polyethylene discharge pipes, retaining headwalls and endwalls, outfall area construction, fiber-reinforced polymer weir boards, flap gates, an aluminum gangway, and an aluminum floating dock. Associated work includes removal of the existing embankment in the vicinity of the new structures, reconstruction of the embankment, excavation of the existing plug on the south portion of the perimeter ditch to reconnect it with the outfall area of the existing east weir set, and placement of a plug at the northeast corner of the perimeter ditch to provide access for operation and maintenance along the exterior of the DMMA. The perimeter ditch requires clearing and grubbing, de-mucking, reshaping, and regrading to achieve a uniform cross-section. Grass establishment is required on all areas of disturbed embankment and perimeter ditch surfaces. The Estimated Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 The project will have an estimated period of performance of 270 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
