Remodeling of a military facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 2,035-square-foot military facility.
Installation of new flooring in the headquarters area and an optional kitchen remodel, including full installation services. Work includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove existing finishes as required and install new flooring systems and optional kitchen components in accordance with the project specifications and the combined synopsis/solicitation. HQ Flooring replacement IAW SOW OPTION: Kitchen remodel IAW SOW *This CLIN is based on funding availability and may or may not be executed. Location: 147th Attack Wing Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base 14657 Sneider Street Houston, TX 77034 Period of Performance: 90 calendar days. Question Deadline 04/02/2026 at 9:00 AM CT All questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer at the above email addresses. E-mail is the preferred method for questions. Requests shall be marked with solicitation number W50S77-26-Q-0003. 1. Demolish existing plank flooring and prepare substrate as required (including floor leveling/float as necessary). Contractor shall follow manufacturer installation requirements and Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) guidance and International Building Code (Current Version) for floor preparation and adhesive testing. 2. All cracks shall be filled with an approved flooring epoxy compatible with the proposed carpet tile and LVT flooring system. Moisture testing of subfloor is required iaw Whole Building Design Guide. 3. Install new 24" x 24" commercial carpet tile, including required adhesives, throughout offices. 4. Furnish and install 4" rubber cove base throughout renovated areas; install wood base boards where required. 5. Install LVT flooring in common areas and entrances. Wood base boards where Required. 6. Contractor shall paint as required. 7. Contractor is responsible for relocating Government furniture to include but not limited to: (Desk, Chairs, Lamps etc.). Contractor shall coordinate with 147 CES and 147 SFS prior to any furniture removal. Only SFS ESS personnel will remove security hardware. The 147 CES and Contractors are NOT authorized to tamper with security buttons or items. Kitchen / Break area remodel :- Demolish existing kitchen/break area finishes and components as indicated. Demolish existing water fountain and cap utilities per code. Relocate water fountain to proposed location. Modify electrical as needed. Remove door frame and associate hardware where new cased openings are proposed. Enlarge existing opening to create a maximum feasible cased opening for new kitchen cabinetry. Remove door frame between kitchen/break area and receptionist area and replace with a cased opening. Rework ceiling grid and replace ceiling tiles as required due to wall modifications Patch, repair, and finish all disturbed surfaces. Furnish and install new base and wall cabinets. Furnish and install new countertop system. Install tile backsplash behind countertops. All materials shall be commercial-grade and suitable for government facilities. Install reverse osmosis water flirtation system if required on new sink/faucet. All demolition debris shall be hauled offsite and legally disposed of.
