Demolition, site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Northville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a recreation facility; and recreation facility.

The work includes all labor, materials, necessary equipment, and services required to complete the construction of the Town Square Fountain. The principal elements of the scope are: - Demolition of the existing fountain and foundations - Demolition and retro-fit of existing utilities - Installation of new utility work - Masonry work to construct precast concrete walls with copings - Installation of a new fountain system Work is to be constructed under a single lump sum contract, with unit prices specified on the quote. The contractor is responsible for providing and paying for labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment, machinery, utilities required for construction, and other facilities and services necessary for completion of the work. The Owner will pay for all major building and site permits, while the contractor is responsible for the paperwork and actual "pulling" of permits, and for obtaining and paying for all other required permits. Work is to be constructed in phases following a proposed construction schedule, with overall responsibility for schedule management resting with the contractor. Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be submitted using the provided Proposal Form, with all blanks completed, and delivered as specified. - Bids shall be based on both drawings and specifications, and must include all applicable taxes, premiums, assessments, fees, permits, and licenses, fully covering all direct and indirect charges and expenses. - All erasures or changes in the bid must be initialed by the bidder. - No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five days after opening. - The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for any reason, waive irregularities, and may increase or decrease contract work based on unit prices submitted. - Requests for interpretation must be made in writing five days prior to the bid due date, and any interpretations will be issued via Addendum, which become part of the contract documents. - Bidders are responsible for verifying all quantities and existing conditions. All discrepancies must be reported prior to the bid due date. - Bids must include a bid security in the form of a bid bond for no less than five percent of the amount of the bid. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes plainly marked with the project name and bidder's name. - The Contractor must comply with all applicable Civil Rights Acts and regulatory requirements. No pre-bid conference will be held for this project.
