The project involves rehabilitation work on two airport runways: - Runway 7-25 at Westerly State Airport includes the mill and overlay of the 4,010-foot by 100-foot runway, including the intersection with Runway 14-32. Work extends to grading near runway edges to tie into the existing runway safety area grades, grading of the extended safety areas on Runways 7 and 25 to remove gravel and large rocks and restore to turf, saw-cut grooving, and pavement markings. - Runway 4-22 at Newport State Airport includes the mill and overlay of the 2,999-foot by 75-foot runway, but does not include the intersection with Runway 16-34. The work includes grading near the runway edges to tie into existing runway safety area grades and pavement markings. Prospective bidders may submit bids for either or both airports. All required forms must be submitted in their entirety, and pricing forms should reflect the total bid price for the project(s) submitted. All Division 0, Division 1, FAA General Provisions, and Technical Specifications are applicable to both projects. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, payable to the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. Successful bidders must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, in a form acceptable to the Owner.
