The project is expected to be awarded later this afternoon** The work to be performed consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to modify the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant as indicated on the drawings and specified. This includes constructing a new influent structure with a manual bar screen, stop gates, and overflow weir; converting an existing aerated pond to an equalization basin; mechanical or hydraulic dredging of an aerated pond; rehabilitating an aerated pond and installing a LemTec Biological Treatment Process; repurposing the existing plant pump station as the effluent pump station; constructing a new effluent structure with a polishing reactor, flow metering, and chemical feed systems for chlorination and dechlorination; as well as yard piping, valves, appurtenances, and all necessary site work, electrical, structural, and instrumentation for a complete and functional installation as shown on the drawings and specified in the contract documents. The contract duration is 365 calendar days. Bidders must submit their bids electronically and complete the Qualifications of Bidder form. Proof of a valid State of Georgia "Utility Contractor" license and employment of a "Utility Manager" certification holder is required. A bid bond or certified cashier's check for at least 10% of the base bid must be included. Performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder.
