Description

Site work and new construction of a civil project in Mooresville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a road / highway; and bridge / tunnel.

Plans call for the construction of a four-lane bridge to carry Connector Road/Mazeppa Road traffic over N.C. 115 (Statesville Highway) and the adjacent Norfolk-Southern railroad tracks. As of March 2026, the project received ROW authorization from the Federal Railroad Administration Informational Coverage. Contractor bidding is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027. A firm construction schedule has not been established.
