Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work, specifically approximately 2900 linear feet of street rehabilitation. Contractors must purchase a set of Bid/Contract Documents to be considered a registered plan holder eligible to bid. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Sonora or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts. This contract must comply with Buy America Build America (BABA) requirements.
