The Town of Villenova is seeking sealed bids for the mowing of its four cemeteries: Hamlet Cemetery (Route 83), Pope Hill Cemetery (Pope Hill), Wheeler Cemetery (South Dayton Silver Creek Rd.), and Ball Hill Cemetery (Prospect St.). The mowing season is dependent on weather, typically beginning on or about May 1 and ending after the first hard frost, at the end of the growing season. Cemeteries must be cleaned up, mowed, and weed whacked prior to Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day. Mowing is to be done as needed, with a minimum frequency of every two weeks, and weed whacking to occur every other mowing. Debris removal and disposal are required as needed. Proof of liability insurance is mandatory for sole proprietors, and Workers Compensation is required if other employees are hired. The Town will not supply equipment, supplies, gas, oil, or materials necessary to meet these requirements. Sealed bids must be submitted by the specified deadline.
